How Realms Works

Realms is conviction trading on Solana. Call trades, back your thesis with real money, and collect when you're right.

Others back YES or NO on whether the trade hits.

Making the Call

Anyone can make a call — pick a token pair, an amount, a strike price, and a time window. This puts a real limit order on the fund's books through Solana governance.

Skin in the Game
To make a call, you put up a bond (paid in USDC, auto-converted). Your bond is returned when enough people bet on your call. If nobody bites, the bond is forfeited and distributed to fund holders.
Time Window
Each call has a fixed window (15 minutes to 14 days). When time's up, the outcome is settled by whether the trade hit the strike price.

Backing a Trade

Once a call is live, the crowd picks sides — YES (the trade hits the strike) or NO (it doesn't). Both sides put money into the pot.

Conviction Bonus

The earlier you back a trade, the higher your multiplier. First movers get rewarded for having conviction before the crowd.

A play made right when the call goes live earns up to 2.5x weight — your share of the pot is 2.5 times larger than a last-minute play of the same size. The multiplier decays over the time window.

Resolution & Payouts

When time's up, the outcome is settled:

  • Achieved — the trade hit the strike. YES backers win and split the NO pot (proportional to their weighted play size).
  • Failed — the trade missed. NO backers win and take the YES pot.
  • Cancelled — if a call is cancelled before settlement, everyone gets their money back. Withdraw from Positions.

How Payouts Work

Your cut of the pot depends on three things:

  1. 1Your play size — how much you put in
  2. 2Your weight — play size times the conviction bonus active when you entered
  3. 3The losing pot — total money on the wrong side
Example

You put $100 on YES with a 2x conviction bonus.

Your weight = 200. Total YES weight = 1,000. NO pot = $500.

Your share = 200 / 1,000 = 20% of the NO pot.

If YES wins: you get back your $100 + (20% of $500) = +$100 profit

The earlier you move and the less crowded your side, the bigger your edge. Odds shift in real time — conviction pays.

Realms runs across multiple Solana governance funds. You always pay in USDC — conversions are handled automatically.
